Bozeman area is such a good place to have a wedding whether you are local or planning a destination wedding. There’s plenty to do before & after your wedding making it a great option for a wedding weekend.

Along with venues, Bozeman offers some of the best vendors in the state. Amazing florists, hair and makeup artists, and photographers live here and the local knowledge and expertise shouldn’t be overlooked. Highly encourage you to hire local for the best vendor team for your day.

I’ll list the most sought after venues first with some info and then I’ll list more venues below that you can check out.

1. Copper Rose Ranch is newer on the scene and personally one of my favorite venues to shoot at. Lodging on site, indoor and outdoor space, and stunning views are a few of the pros. The cabins and barn photograph beautifully and the layout makes so much sense from getting ready to dinner to dancing the night away.

2. Foster Creek Farm is another barn (you’ll see a lot of that in Montana) outside of Bozeman. Its white modern exterior and warm interior sure makes a beautiful space for a wedding. Views of the Bridgers, ceremony location flexibility, and lodging makes this a good choice.

3. If you’re wanting to get married downtown the Armory Hotel might be perfect for you. From intimate to 300 guests you can really bring this space to life with your wedding vision. Being in town makes it easy for guests to stay and be occupied while in Bozeman. You can also have your welcome party and goodbye brunch here.

4. Jumping back over to Paradise Valley, Sage Lodge is a popular venue for destination weddings. From intimate wedding to a complete buyout, Sage Lodge is the perfect if you’re looking for luxury, views, space and options.

There’s no lack of awe at this venue.

5. Hardscrabble Ranch is tucked away in the Bridgers. It has glamping and two lodges in addition to the incredible views. Make it a days long event on the 78 acre property with up to 300 guests which is great for this area. Hiking, fishing, animals makes this undoubtedly a perfect place for a Montana wedding.

6. Owl’s Rest Event Barn at Yellowstone Valley Lodge is very new and I cannot wait to work here! Once again set in beautiful Paradise valley this venue has all the views as well as a grand looking indoor space for your reception. Has an indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, fire pit, wrap around patio for cocktail hour. Photos from their instagram.

7. I’m certainly excited to get to finally shoot here at Firelight Farm in May! Another beautiful renovated barn that has a rustic yet elevated vibe you’d expect for a Montana wedding. It’s limited to 130 guests, however it has indoor and outdoor space.

8. Looking for something earthy, unique, while also being an experience? Consider Bodhi Farms. Their want couples getting married there to appreciate being outdoors as well as sustainable services. I love the look of the tents and I could see guests coming in from afar certainly enjoying the experience they provide.

9. Wedding at a hot springs? Yes please pick Chico Hot Springs. I grew up going to this hot springs so it holds a secial place in my heart. I absolutely love shooting weddings here as well, it’s right under Emigrant Peak and has a real local feeling. Get married, dance the night away and afterwards just walk to your room or cabin. They have an indoor ceremony space for 180 guests, conversely they have a wine cellar for less than 16 guests for the perfect intimate dinner.

lastly, number 10 on my list.

10. I wanted to throw a wildcard in here because honestly why haven’t I got to shoot here before? Grizzly Creek Ranch isn’t popular so it can be the perfect off the beaten path wedding venue. It’s also further than the other ones listed however it’s worth the drive. If you’re looking for probably the most beautiful venue in Montana this is a contender.
