Glacier National Park Elopement.
Madison and Corey and their Glacier National Park Elopement. GNP has millions of visitors a year, and a few of those visitors are couples wanting a stunning day, focused only on themselves. Madison and Corey were one of those couples, I was so stoked when they reached out to me! I was so excited that we were able to find a date that worked for all of us, it landed in October. While the going to the sun road is closes in mid October, there’s no problem finding beautiful landscapes elsewhere. Autumn in Glacier is stunning with all the golden colors contrasted by the blue waters and mountains.
The elopement day
We had a call the night before their elopement day just to confirm plans. I arrived to their rental home the next day as they were getting ready. Handwriting their vows quietly without seeing each other. Once dressed they had a sweet first look in the backyard. We all travelled together to Lake McDonald in case parking along the way was limited. Their officiant and his wife met us there, they also flew in to marry them. I thought it was so cool to be able to have someone dear there to marry you in another state.
Madison and Corey led the way into the beach, picking a spot that felt right to them. The mountain, rippling water, and falling leaves made for the perfect scene. They read their vows to each other, and right as the finished their ceremony a rainbow appeared in the distance. Afterwards we just explored around West Glacier. In the trees, on a bridge, by the lake, by the river. They were obsessed with the mountains and colors, as was I. Every time I visit glacier it feels like my first time.
