I shot this Homestake Lodge wedding back in July, but I’m excited to finally be sharing it!
When we first moved to Butte, I wasn’t sure how much I’d get to do photography. It can be hard to transition and serve another area. So I did a giveaway and Angie and Tyler won. I had never met these two, it was a random drawing. So we got together and shot their beautiful engagement photos outside of Butte. A while after I delivered their gallery, they booked me for their wedding. She said “There was no one else we wanted to go with after working with you and seeing what you produced! I’m so happy you had it available!” Does it get any better than that?
After getting ready in Butte, we headed to Homestake Lodge for the first look and ceremony. It was sunny, and we walked up behind Tyler who was waiting in an aspen grove. We slowly made our way back up to the lodge, taking photos along the way with her incredible veil and their pups.
By now the skies had shifted and rain was looming. We shot Tyler and his groomsmen, Angie and her beautiful bridesmaids, but had to take a break due to rain before getting the party all together. When the sun popped out again I found Angie on the balcony, reading a letter with a smile and tears. Tyler and her exchanged gifts, I don’t think she was expecting what she got, a stunning TeshiaArt print. They have this sweet story about it and it was very meaningful to them.
As the ceremony approached, the clouds got dramatic again and almost wanted to rain, but it held off. It was the most beautiful lighting with the mountain backdrop as Angie and Tyler exchanged vows. Afterward everyone drove down the mountain to continue the celebration at the Front Street Station. The reception was way too much fun, the food was good (bless Famous Dave’s), and the dancing was plenty.
It was truly a gorgeous day filled with so many touching moments and love. Every single Butte wedding I’ve shot have been amazing with the best people, looking forward to more this year and next!
