Lone mountain Ranch Elopement

When looking to get married in Big Sky, there’s nothing quite like a Lone Mountain Ranch elopement.

Located just outside of Big Sky up a private road sits this beautiful ranch. As you park you’ll see several buildings and cabins, and off to the side corrals with their horses. Tall pines surround everything, making it feel secluded and cozy.

Firstly, Lone Mountain Ranch has an amazing elopement package. How awesome is that? It includes your stay, bouquet and boutonniere, cake, officiant, sleigh ride and SO much more. I think it’s a perfect option for couples who want an epic Montana elopement without having to plan every single detail themselves. Go check out everything included here, and thank me later!

Sloan + Matt

A short walk up the groomed trail and I found myself at Sloan and Matt’s cabin, the Bull Moose. Sloan greeted me and welcomed me inside where I quickly grabbed shots of their details, as well as the finishing touches like Matt zipping up her dress. A staff member picked us up to take us to the B-K building, were their ceremony would be held. They set up a zoom call so family from afar could watch, had the fire stoked and proceeded to the ceremony. Bradford held a meaningful ceremony for Sloan and Matt, afterward they cut their cake and signed their marriage license. By the way, I got to sign as a witness, and it’s always such a privilege.

Bundled up in her mink coat, we explored around the property, which of course included their barn and corrals. The horses always love to try to get a bite of the flowers which makes me smile. Once on the hill we walked down the trail, and right over the way stands Lone Peak. The view from this ridge are stunning and it was the perfect place for a little bubbly. To tell the truth, it was still pretty chilly out there, but these two were troopers and the sun felt warm. It was awesome to have rides everywhere around the ranch by staff.

Last but not least, we ended photos at Horn and Cantle. Both me and the bartender suggested something with huckleberries, which Sloan got to experience. If you don’t know what huckleberries are, come to Montana and find out. I left as they finished their drinks, leaving them to enjoy their nighttime sleigh ride and dinner. I can’t believe I get to spend hours with a. couple on their wedding day, I have the best job!
