Currently obsessed with this windy Red Lodge engagement shoot!
It was one of those wedding inquiries where they didn’t have a set in stone date. ShayLe and Jimmy are having their wedding on her grandparents ranch outside of Red Lodge, so they could be flexible with dates. We chatted about options and they settled on a Friday wedding so we could work together. 😍
My schedule is pretty hectic these days, as is theirs. It took a good while to find a date that worked for all of us. But we finally did and we met up at the ranch where they will be getting married this summer. We drove around the property together and I got to know these two. They are so fun and their wedding is going to be just amazing! They run cows, love their families, love laughing, and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding. Their ceremony is going to be in a grove of aspens, like seriously?! Cannot wait.
At one point we drove up to the top of a hill. The sun was low and all we could see were rolling hills and the Beartooths. It was howling out as it does this time of year, but she rocked the crazy hair and it made for some insane photos. We finished the shoot as the sun made one last appearance before setting behind the hill.
I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll never stop saying it, but I have the best couples ever. These guys picked a wedding date around my availability, gave me a cold drink as soon as I showed up, and offered me some rhubarb pie before I left. Best couple ever!
